This has indeed been one of the most difficult classes I have taken. I believe I have survived. I must say, I have watched many tutorials and linkedIn learning and YouTube video’s, I’ve been down so many rabbit holes attempting to create this website, I probably can teach a class on what not to do.
Now my website is not perfect, but it is perfect. When I look at the final project and the time I invested and what I learned, even if it is not “A” material, I will give it just that, because even though I became frustrated at times and some things didn’t work the way I wanted, I can say, I am satisfied. I did have a vision in mind how I wanted it to turn out, and like I said, I am satisfied. If I continue on and try to retain the skills, I have learned so far, in one year I may be able put a website together in no time. There are some things I found out by accident. I am a doer, telling me will not help me much, I have to jump in and do things myself. The more mistakes I make, the better I get. One thing I know about me is that I am no quitter. I do sometimes put things on the back burner and will come back later. I reviewed most of the tags, but under rules and warnings, sometimes I would fiddle for hours. Although the message was giving me all the information I needed, I sometimes couldn’t figure it out.
All in all, I am glad I had the experience. I can truly say this was a learning experience. I am glad I was not graded every week, because I did have issues. I began downloading images into my root folder and forgot to delete them. I was using my work desktop also, and IT, (I really believe) deleted my folder. Here is some advice for those who want to do some class work on the job…utilize your thumb drive. I didn’t save my changes on my drive and came to work the next day and…deleted!
I was late turning in my folder twice. Why? Because I uploaded and didn’t press submit. Although the second time, my folder was too large because I neglected to delete all of the extra. After about twenty minutes of uploading...I knew, it wasn't going to happen.
So now, at the end of the road… What's next! Well first, I think I need a drink. I don’t want to offend any alcoholics or those who don’t indulge…but can I relax for a little bit. I mean, I didn’t perform
Major surgery, but I did just build a home, lol! Margaritaville here I come
